In the recent turn of events related to the AIB Roast, Aamir Khan was flooded with lot of criticism for his hypocritical review regarding the show. To which Indian-Canadian stand-up comedian and actor Russell Peters commented saying Aamir Khan should not talk about things he doesn’t have knowledge of.
According to Aamir Khan, even though he did not watch the entire video, the content of the AIB Roast did not appeal to him. The actor repeatedly called the entire show very violent and expressed that he was disappointed with Karan Johar for participating in such a show.
Anurag Kashyap, Pooja Bhatt slammed Aamir Khan for being hypocritical about AIB Roast after having done songs like Bhaag DK Bose in his production Delhi Belly. Russell Peters, known for his stand-up comedy acts has thorough knowledge of the concept of roast that was delivered by the AIB team for which the actor even congratulated the team. “I met Tanmay and Khamba and patted them on their back and said they should feel proud!” the 44-year-old actor stated.
Reportedly, Russell Peters slammed not just Aamir Khan but the hypocrisy of Indian audience in general. “Seriously, who is he, the so-called artist, to say that he found it violent and that AIB and rest involved should have been responsible? He did not even see it! Someone please ask him to shut up and take care of his own business,” he stated during his interview with a leading daily.
He further added by questioning if people even understood what the concept of roast is. Russell states that Indians are mostly confused about what they get angry about. He added, “You know, it’s funny, the things we get angry about. We don’t get pissed when a politician comes up on stage and lies on our faces, but we get angry when someone speaks the truth.”
Russell Peters is currently touring in India performing his shows.
