Amitabh Bachchan Receives Social Media Of The Year Award

Bollywood’s Big B Amitabh Bachchan is always seen sharing his views on different social networking sites. The megastar is an active blogger as well and is loved by fans for his views. Recently, Internet and Mobile Association (IAMAI) of India honoured Bollywood’s Shahenshah Amitbabh Bachchan with Social Media Person of the Year award.

Since Big B won’t be able to attend the event, that is to happen in Delhi and receive the award in, a representative body awarded the superstar with the title in advance on Tuesday.

18,859,834 likes on his Facebook page, was overwhelmed by receiving the award and shared the news on his blog by thanking his fans. The 72 year old posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com, “There is an association of social media for India the IAMAI…and they reward me with the ‘Social Media Person of the Year’ award and it is time really to reward the Ef (Extended Family) for this… you are the ones that have made it possible for me to be given this recognition.”

Amitabh Bachchan also posted a picture for his fans. In the picture, the actor is seen receiving the award.

“The ceremony is in Delhi, and since I cannot be there, they came over to present it to me and (they will) play a video of it at the function to be held in a few days,” Amitabh added.
