MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone has always been in the news. Be it for her films or for the link-ups this girl surely knows how to stay in the news all the time.
Deepika Padukone, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone played badminton in national level championships, but left her career in sport to become a fashion model.
She made her acting debut in 2006 down south with a Kannada film titled ‘Aishwarya’ and then she was offered ‘Happy New Year’ by Farah Khan opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
‘Happy New Year’ got shelved but Farah Khan insisted on casting her as ‘Shantipriya’ as well as ‘Sandhya (Sandy)’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2007 blockbuster ‘Om Shanti Om’ and as they say rest is history.
On the personal front, Deepaka has had a serious affair with Ranbir Kapoor and both parted ways when Deepika caught Ranbir ‘cheating on her’.
Post that she was linked with Siddharth Mallya and currently the rumor that’s doing the rounds is that the Padukone girl is ‘good friends’ with her ‘Ram Leela’ hero Ranveer Singh, who has had a break–up with his long standing girlfriend Anushka Sharma.
All said and done, we want to wish Deepika all the best for ‘Ram Leela’ that hits the silver screen on 15 November, 2013.
