Deepika Padukone’s row with TOI is a topic of much discussion and mockery now. Majority has sided with Deepika Padukone in this mess; some out of doing what seems right and others to nail down the leading daily. But we think there is certain things that the issue taught us which should never forget in the future.
1. If you want to point out at someone’s cleavage next time (which everyone will do even if that’s the worse thing one can do to a woman), make sure it was voluntarily showed cleavage and not something you feel is sensational.
2. Get your headlines right. If you are the same daily that reports about the sorry state of affairs today with rape numbers escalating, you have moral obligation to not provide fodder to the same scam.
3. Even if you do repeat the same mistake, make sure you to stay quiet or be intelligent about it. Don’t write your own obituary.
4. Better still, stop trying to gain mileage out of someone else’s body parts.
