We never paused to think if there was any story lurking behind the paintings of various Hindu Gods or who must have been behind these pictures that give faces to an entity we believe but haven’t seen. Rang Rasiya has set out to bring that person out in the open this Friday. But before you decide to watch the film, here are certain points you should keep in mind.
The film is about Raja Ravi Varma who used to use his brushstrokes to unravel a story behind the paintings of Gods and goddesses. But when human, once imagination may run really wild and that has made this film see Censor’s red eye. The film has been getting delayed since 2008. Now a film which was delayed so long has to have something really mystical in it. Care to unravel the mystery?

Nandana Sen plays Sugandha, Ravi Varma’s muse. He replicated Sugandha in various moods for various goddesses.
Randeep Hooda who plays Varma, will be seen in two age groups. Once when he is a 60 year old man and another when he is 20. He has managed to play both the roles convincingly.
By the time the film finally got a release, Nandana Sen had married and is settled in US. She obtained an NOC from the makers of the film so that she can approve the promotional material being used. Director Ketan Mehta had to wait for her to come back to India and approve the stills.
