MUMBAI: The first look poster of Bollywood’s next big film ‘Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya’ is out now.
The film is directed by Prabhu Deva, written by Shiraz Ahmed and produced by Kumar Taurani. ‘Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya’ is a remake of Prabhu Deva’s directorial debut film in the South titled, ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana’.
The film also marks the debut of producer Kumar Taurani’s son, Girish Kumar. Kamal Haasan’s daughter, Shruti Haasan will star opposite the debutant.
The poster features Girsh Kumar balancing on a wooden horse decorated for a wedding ceremony and Shruti Haasan pulling Girish off of the horse. Shruti looks stunning in a yellow ghagra, red dupatta and a multi-coloured choli.
A romantic drama film, the story is of a boy who falls in love with a village girl. He has to prove himself to be a worthy man by winning a challenge placed by the girl’s brother, played by Sonu Sood.
The film also has a sizzling dance number with Jacqueline Fernandez who makes a special appearance in the film.
‘Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya’ also features Randhir Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Vinod Khanna and Poonam Dhillon in pivotal roles. The film is set to release on July 19, 2013.
