John Abraham Turns Singer With A Tapori Track!

John-Abhram-002John Abraham has been in the recording studio crooning, Ithni sochti kaiko, banja meri baiko, written by Nitin Raikar, for his upcoming comedy, Welcome Back. “We wanted Shruti (Haasan) and John to sing a duet but Shruti, who is a trained singer with a beautiful voice, was in Dubai during the recording so we decided to go ahead with John, solo,” director Anees Bazmee told Mirror.

It was composer-singer Anu Malik’s idea to persuade John to lend his voice to the song he uses to woo his lady love. The two took six hours to get it right but by the end of the evening, their director was beaming. “John will shock the audience not only with his singing debut, but also with his over-the-top bhaigiri in the film,” he asserted.

Ask John if he thought he’d ever croon for a film and he bursts out laughing. “Never! I kept saying no but Anees insisted. I finally told him I’d sing only if he gave me time to rehearse and then take everyone’s opinion on the subject. But before he could do that, Anu Malik came and announced that I should leave it to him. So I did!”
