The big star studded film, I Love NY has turned out to be a drastic failure at the Box Office on its first day as the film only managed to mint Rs. 45 lakhs net (4.5 million) approx. The film saw a very poor occupancy rate at the Box Office on Friday. Going by the numbers that it pulled in on its first day, not much is expected from Kangana Ranaut and Sunny Deol starrer film I Love NY on its first weekend run at the Box Office.
The film is running poorly in most of the places in India. Even after all the controversy that surrounded the film, producer Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s I Love NY failed to attract the audiences and saw a disappointing rate of footfalls in theatres. The whole controversy started whens film’s release date was revealed, Kangana Ranaut sent a legal notice to T-series to stop the release of the film. This created a lot of buzz in the Btown and on the internet. But the producer of the film was stiff on releasing the film and replied back calling the legal notice a baseless thing.

The producer of I Love NY went further on saying that “T-series” is not releasing the film as the film has been sold to a sister company one and a half year back even before the release of Queen and now its them who are releasing the film.
Earlier, he also added saying that they do not have any deal with Kangana Ranaut now and that they do not need to take permission from her. He went so far as to say that only big stars such as Salman Khan give permission to release the film. Well, even with the huge controversy before the film’s release, couldn’t help change I Love NY’s fate or help the film bring in some good numbers at the Box Office.
