Raveena Tandon's Intense Tweets On Yakub Memon's Death Penalty

Today morning the whole world woke with a peace knowing that the sole convict on the death row of the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, Yakub Memon was hanged. After 22 long years the decision to hang Yakub Memon was acted upon where he was hanged in the Nagpur jail today on his 53rd birthday.

Yakub’s execution became the debate as the nation divided into two groups where some people opposed the death penalty of the convict while some were in favour of the law. Couple of days ago, even actor Salman Khan dragged himself into controversy for speaking in favour of the convict Yakub Memon.

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor in his tweets expressed in support of Yakub Memon terming him as innocent, the actor further stated that Yakub’s brother Tiger Memon who is the real mind behind the serial bomb last should be hanged instead. With a range of tweets on the already controversial issue, Salman sparked an outrage amongst his fans, many people protested on Salman’s immature tweets.

On the other hand Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon also took to her twitter handle today to express her views on the death penalty given to the convict. The actress tweeted saying that the capital punishment is must in ‘obvious case’ and that do not deserve mercy-life sentences at the taxpayers expense.
