Salman Khan has been the big pull for the 'Bigg Boss' show since the fourth season. He has realised that and is taking full advantage of it.

MUMBAI: Salman Khan has enjoyed quite a long association with the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. From cameo appearances to hosting the show, Salman has had a longer role as the seasons go by.

Salman Khan hosted the fourth season of ‘Bigg Boss’ but gave a pass in the fifth season. Though, he made an appearance at the grand finale in that season, which was hosted by his friend, co-actor Sanjay Dutt. Salman Khan returned as the host in the sixth season, and now will continue to host in the seventh season too.

Salman is a big draw in the show, and surely helps with improving the TRPs. But the bigger news is that Salman Khan will command Rs 5 crores (Rs 50 million) per episode in this season. That amounts to a total of Rs 130 crores (Rs 1.3 Billion) for the entire season 7.

Salman Khan apparently charged Rs 2.5 crore (Rs 25 Million) per episode for Season 6. So this season doubles his cost. Wonder if that could be due to the double role Salman Khan engages in this season.

Salman Khan will be seen as a devil and as an angel this time around keeping with the theme of this season: heaven and hell.

The ‘Dabangg’ actor is wasting no time in shooting episodes. Shooting two episodes per day every week, he’s been very hasty as the trial of his hit-and-run case begins on 19 August.

Let’s hope Salman Khan’s involvement in ‘Bigg Boss’ not only doubles his own pay, but also doubles the eyeballs the show receives.
