Bollywood’s filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to make his big acting debut in Anurag Kashyap‘s upcoming much anticipated film Bombay Velvet. While talking to media, Karan Johar revealed that he will never cast Anurag Kashyap in his film, that Anurag fits in films like Gangs of Wasseypur.

Karan also stated that he only takes good looking actors. “I will not cast Anurag in my film. I only take good-looking actors. I will not make a film where Anurag fits in. Can you imagine Anurag in ‘New York’? You see him in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ kind of films,” Karan Johar said.
Student Of The Year director went further on and said that he would never direct himself because he can’t be his own liability. “I will never direct myself. I can’t be my own liability. I am open to offers. I don’t have a delusion that I can do lead roles, but good supporting roles I will do,” Karan said.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Bombay Velvet is a romantic thriller. In the film, Karan plays antagonist. Karan will be see playing the role of a flamboyant negative character named Kaizad Khambatta. Karan also talked about his character in the film and said that Kaizad is a manipulative clever person.

Bombay Velvet also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The film is all set to hit the theatres on May 15, 2015.
