Bollywood celebrities Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Kabir Bedi, Randeep Hooda and many others paid their last respects to veteran actor Vinod Khanna. Many celebrities and family members bid a tearful adieu to veteran actor, who passed away today morning at South Mumbai hospital. Among others who attended the funeral along with Gulzar, Subhash Ghai, Ramesh Taurani and Ramesh Sippy.
Fans thronged the streets outside the Worli crematorium to catch a last glimpse of the actor. This has surely come as a big show for the Indian Cinema.

Khanna’s sons Rahul and Sakshi performed the final rituals today at 6 pm. Vinod Khanna’s son Akshaye Khanna was also seen at the funeral.

Starting his career with minor roles in 1969, Vinod Khanna built up a hugely successful career and featured in some of the biggest Bollywood hits like “Mere Apne”, “Insaaf” “Parvarish” “Muqaddar Ka Sikandar”, “Qurbani”, “Dayavaan”, “Mera Gaon Mera Desh” “Chandni” “The Burning Train” and “Amar, Akbar, Anthony” among many more

In 1982, at the peak of his film career, Khanna temporarily quit the film industry to follow his spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh.After a five-year hiatus, he returned to the Hindi film industry giving two back to back hit films Insaaf and Satyamev Jayate. The last film he appeared in was Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

Vinod was a sitting Bharatiya Janata Party member of the Lok Sabha from the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab.
