Box Office: Baahubali’s Hindi Dubbed Version Opens To Poor Start

Baahubali-cdeBy far, Baahubali happens to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year and after a long wait, the first part of the film has finally hit the theatres! The film has released in four different languages namely Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. The sort of numbers Baahubali’s Hindi dubbed version has pulled in is shockingly very poor. The Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali only managed to collect Rs. 5 crore net (500 million) approx. on its first day at the Box Office.

To receive such kind of reaction for its Hindi dubbed version is really shocking for Baahubali, as the film overall has opened to a fantastic start with record breaking collections. Just when Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam version of Baahubali are doing great business in most of the places in India, its Hindi dubbed version somehow only managed to do a decent business in places like Mumbai, Delhi and UP. Whereas the Hindi dubbed version couldn’t create a magic on the big screen in places like North and East India, as the film received very poor footfalls.

Seems like film’s extraordinary trailer, story line and graphics failed to attract Hindi audiences as the film saw occupancy rate of 20% at the Box Office. However, Director S. S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali has collected great number of amount through its Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions. The theatres playing these three language versions of the film are running houseful in most of the places.

The action drama film, Baahubali is so far the most expensive film ever made in India! Directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, the film is made on a BIG budget of Rs. 250 Crores. The film’s trailer has already impressed everyone and proved that the money was indeed put in the right place! The film stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia and Rana Daggubati.
