Box Office: Sooraj Pancholi And Athiya Shetty Starrer Hero’s First Weekend Collection

Hero-Box-Office (3)The much hyped film ‘Hero’ has finally hit the theaters. The new entrants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty have made a smooth entry into the tinsel town with their debut film ‘Hero’. Co-produced by Salman Khan ‘Hero’ had a good start at the box office on the first day of its release i.e. September 11th Friday. The occupancy rate for the film was 30% on average.

Though the film had a decent occupancy rate on the first day, collection wise the movie ‘Hero’ did not do well. Given its back to back promotional activities and strategies the movie could have done better but failed to impress. ‘Hero’ on its first day of release managed to collect Rs. 6.50 crore (65 million) net approx. However the figures are not that bad as the stars are debutantes.

The collection on the first day was not impressive and paved a tough weekend ahead too. ‘Hero’ on its second day of release i.e. on Saturday managed to earn Rs. 6.25 crore (62.5 million) net approx. With a minor difference from its first day collection ‘Hero’ earned smoothly on Saturday as well, nevertheless, it surely had to strive hard to surpass the weekend successfully.
