Box Office: Vishesh Films’ Crook takes poor opening

MUMBAI: Vishesh Films’ latest flick – Crook It’s Good To Be Bad took a poor opening at the box office.

The movie stars Emraan Hashmi and did net collections of approximately Rs 73 million (Rs 7.30 crore) in its opening weekend in India. On the other hand, Monday also saw poor net collections of approx Rs 12.50 million (Rs 1.25 crore) across India. The four days net collections of Crook stands at Rs 85.5 million (Rs 8.55 crore).

A disappointed Mahesh Bhatt said, “Mourning the debacle of Crook. Looking at failure in the eye is a must for we entertainers. Never duck the harsh verdict of the audience. Rs 7.3 crore is the first weekend box office collection of Crook. We are Rs 5 crore below our expectations. The cost of the film was Rs 17 crores.”

Walt Disney India’s release Do Dooni Chaar, which stars Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, also didn’t fare too well at the box office. The movie saw net collections of approx Rs 2 crore in its opening weekend.
