MUMBAI: Twentieth Century Fox with Dream Works Animated has released the trailer of ‘The Croods’, an animated adventure comedy film, written and directed by Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders, and produced by Kristine Belson and Jane Hartwell.
The characters of the animated film are voiced by Hollywood stars Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman.
The trailer begins with the world’s first family preparing for bed when the father tells a story of how curiosity kills. Set in the prehistoric era, the family begins an adventurous journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed. And with curiosity begins an adventure which started everything.
The plot of the film revolves around the prehistoric era known as the Croodaceous, a period which contains fantastical creatures, when a man’s position as a “Leader of the Hunt” is threatened by the arrival of a prehistoric genius who comes up with revolutionary new inventions, like fire, as they trek through a dangerous but exotic land in search of a new home.
The music by Alan Silvestri is perfect to witness an adventure.
‘The Croods’ with the classic father-daughter conflict makes it a perfect watch for all ages, just like ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Brave’. A conservative father, rebellious daughter, annoyingly funny grand-mother with a cave-person’s mindset learning the ways of the nature outside their safe space will certainly be a perfect summer watch for kids and adults.
