Egami Media announces digital video distribution via iTunes

Mumbai: Egami Media, a wholly owned subsidiary of Image Entertainment, focused on the aggregation and wholesale distribution of digital rights, will be distributing content via the iTunes Store.

Egami Media will initially offer over one hundred titles on iTunes and will follow up with additional new releases and catalog titles. Titles will be offered for rental and sale on iTunes on the same day the DVD is released whenever possible.

Egami’s library of over 2,000 digital video programs contains a broad array of programming including feature films, stand-up comedy specials, special interest programs and performing arts titles.

"iTunes has established itself as the world’s most popular online video store," said Image Entertainment Sr.VP, digital operations Burgess Wilson. "It’s a very user-friendly way for consumers to enjoy TV and films while retaining the flexibility to watch programs when, where and how they want. We are very excited to be a content partner of iTunes and we look forward to a successful future."
