MUMBAI: GDC Technology has signed a digital system agreement with Toei Co., Ltd., an entertainment company in Japan.
Under the agreement, Toei will pay usage fees to GDC. The agreement solely applies to equipment installations carried out before 31 March 2014, and is limited to Japan.
Toei is notable for its production of anime – live action, special effects dramas known as totkusatsu.
GDC Technology founder and CEO Dr. Man-Nang Chong said, "The program offers an opportunity and a cost recoupment model for Japanese exhibitors to undergo digital conversion. We’re happy to have Toei partner with us."
