MUMBAI: Reliance Broadcast’s new channel BIG Magic has inked a deal with T-Series and Yash Raj Films for music videos on the channel.
With these two deals, BIG Magic now has access to a varied library of Hindi film music videos across eras.
The T-Series deal gives the channel access to its vast repertoire of Hindi film music videos from the early 90s like Aashiqui right up to the latest music like Dum Maaro Dum. The Yash Raj Films deal gives the channel access to their collection of Hindi film music videos including classics from the 70s like Kabhie Kabhie to the 2010 film Band Baaja Baraat.
BIG Magic business head Sunil Kumaran said, “Music is an intrinsic part of the programming mix on BIG Magic. T-Series and Yash Raj Films put together cover a large part of the music industry and this alliance allows us to handpick music, across eras, which will appeal to the preferences of the local populace. This, coupled with our deep local music preference understanding through our radio lineage will ensure that the channel is a hit. We have put together a channel that offers audiences the best colloquial entertainment that they can get, and advertisers, both regional and national, an excellent targeted platform to reach out to this vast population in the Hindi heartland, with minimal spill-overs.”
