Shemaroo releases kids’ film songs VCD

In this age, when the kids market is flooded with video games, rhymes & bed-time stories, animation films & educational CD-ROMs, Shemaroo has come out with the first-of-it’s-kind VCD of Children’s film songs titled “Chupa Chupi Khelen Aao” featuring the popular Children’s songs down the years. The songs beautifully capture the innocence & impishness associated with children brought up on Indian values.

The compilation begins with India’s answer to “The Sound of Music” & “Do Re Me….”, viz. “Sa Re Ke Sa Re” from Gulzar’s “Parichay” and smoothly moves on to another Children’s favorite  from Mr. India with the philosophical “Zindagi Ki Yehi Reet Hai”. The theme song “Chhupa Chupi Khelen Aao” follows with a host of children teaming up with “Dream Girl’s Hema Malini .Try spotting Padmini Kolhapure, Khushboo & Madhoo  as kids who later went on to become stars in their own right.

The compilation then takes a nostalgic turn, taking today’s kids through a ride of all-time Children’s songs like “Ichak Daana Bichak Daana” (Shree 420), “Nanhe Munne Bachche Teri Mutthi Mein Kya Hai” (Bootpolish), “Chun Chun Karti Aayee Chidiya” (Ab Dilli Door Nahin), “Ek Batta Do” (Kalicharan) etc., thus giving them a peek into the songs their parents & elders enjoyed as children. The new millennium is represented by the apt “Give me a bell to ring” from the film “Rahul”. A ride through the Disney Land follows with the “Dream Girl’s again and the compilation ends with the mischievous parody song from “Mr. India’s featuring a host of kids with Anil Kapoor & Sridevi.

This VCD for all kids is priced at just Rs 66.
