Bengali Actress Disha Ganguly Found Dead At Her Residence

Deepa-GanguliOn Thursday morning popular Bengali TV actress, Disha Ganguly was found hanging at her residence Parnashree in South Kolkata. After police investigation the case is reportedly said as a suicide case.

Reports are that the 23-year-old actress was alone at home when she committed suicide, while her parents were out on a vacation.

On Wednesday night, she also watched the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL match at Eden Gardens with her boyfriend Vivaan Ghosh. And the very next day morning she was found dead.

Her boyfriend Vivaan Ghosh spotted the actress dead first. He tried calling her several times, however when she did not pick up the call, he went to see her at her place where she was found dead. The police have found no suicide note yet.

Shockingly, her friend, a TV actress, a resident of Baranagar, tried to jump in front of a running train at Howrah station. But, she was saved by locals and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. This friend stayed with Ganguly earlier, but then shifted to her own place after a couple of months, as her mother had objected her of staying there, said a source.

As of now, the police are interrogating her close ones to find out the reason of her suicide. During the investigation police has found that the actress had transferred Rs 50,000 to an account by using phone banking. Police are still invesigaying on that.

After getting the information, Disha’s parents reached Kolkata from South Africa and performed her last rites.

Disha acted in popular Bengali serials like “Kanakanjali” and also wooed audiences with her performances in popular Bengali sitcom, Tumi Ashbey Bole.
