Filmmaker Sundar C who gave hit comedy flick Aranmanai starring Hansika Motwani is set to make the sequel for his film. But this time the actor surprisingly ditched the Bollywood beauty turned south superstar, and went ahead to rope in Tamil star Trisha Krishnan instead. The actress took to her Twitter account recently to break the big news.
Aranmanai starring Hansika, Raai Laxmi and Andrea Jeremiah amongst others was a hit among the masses and hence director Sundar C has planned on releasing Aranmanai 2. Only this time the film will be starring actors Trisha and Siddharth in the lead role. Previously the actors have starred in films like Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Aayutha Ezhuthu. Their onscreen couple is one of the most loved ones in southern cinema.
Trisha Krishnan took to her official Twitter account to announce her casting in the film. She tweeted, “On my special day too happy 2 announce that I will be playing d lead in ARANMANAI 2 under Sundar C sirs direction fr d very 1st time”. The 31-year-old actress has three films in her kitty including a film with Kamal Haasan, Telugu actor Balakrishna and Tamil star Jayam Ravi. The actress was last seen in her 2015 hit film Yennai Arindhaal starring Ajith Kumar. Her recent split with fiancé Varun Manian seems to have no effect on the actress as she’s on a film signing spree.
Hansika Motwani who has worked with Sundar C for two of his films namely Aranmanai and Aambala is currently working on her Tamil film Vettai Mannan. She will be seen in numerous films including Vaalu, Romeo Juliet, Puli and Durga this year. So looks like Trisha bagging this role after all won’t bother the actress!
