Malishka directly questioned Karishma regarding her relationship with Upen. The first question was whether Karishma and Upen are a couple? Karishma instantly said: ‘No comments’, first she spoke about her friendship with Upen but later she said that she loves Upen as he makes her feel complete. She even said that they would think about it once they are out of the house.
Malishka then questioned Karishma about her boyfriend that she has been talking about all the time before Upen re entered. Karishma said that whatever was outside was incomplete, wherein Upen came as positive force in her life and she had done some mistakes in past which she repented doing.

During the torture task Upen kept himself surrounded around Karishma Tanna. He kept talking and motivating his lady luck when she was in the cage. As Upen is a guest in the Bigg Boss 8 house, he was not part of the task. (Bigg Boss 8 Halla Bol: Who Will Win The Task For Rs 25 Lakhs?)
Love for the new couples is not just during the task. Upen and Karishma were all lovey-dovey near the washroom area and as Upen cuddled his lady love he asked why was she breaking down so often these days? She replied saying that because she is quite emotional by nature and at the same he timely guarded her too. Later on she was seen crying bitterly.
Karishma confessed that she is emotionally hurt by people’s comment and opinions which are very harsh. Karishma was totally heartbroken after Dimpy nominated her calling her an ‘opportunist’. Mahek Chahal too nominated her questioning her double standards over Rahul and Upen’s flirtations.
