Anurradha’s got two films in her BAG

Mumbai: BAG Films is the magnum opus of Anurradha Prasad who founded it along with her husband Rajeev Shukla in 1993. Anurradha Prasad had mastered in Political Science from Delhi University and now has to her credit a career spanning over 20 years contributing towards the media industry. She is also on the board of Uttaranchal Film Development Council.

The name of her company –BAG, comes from a very secular thought as revealed by Anurradha. She says, “B stands for Bhagwaan, A for Allah and G for God.” BAG has an experience of producing more than 40 on air programs which includes some popular programs like Sansani, Red Alert, Poll Khol and Kumkum. The film Zindaggi Rocks has marked their entry into film production. Anurradha Prasad says, “BAG is producing two films in 2006. One of them is Zindaggi Rocks directed by Tanuja Chandra and stars Sushmita Sen and Shiney Ahuja.

The second is a Punjabi film called Mannat which stars Jimmy Shergill and Kulraj Randhawa. BAG Films plans to release five films by 2007.” In 2006 the firm has also forayed into the field of FM radio and animation. The FM radio stations will be operating under the name BAG Infotainment Pvt. Ltd. in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, certain parts of Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. BAG films have also entered into a joint venture with Sieun Design Co. Ltd, a leading Korean firm for making animation films
