Mumbai :Farhan Akhtar’s Don has been in the news now for a very long time. The teaser campaign sure has been a hit and so has the song Main Hoon Don. The Bollywood flick is geared up to reach cinema halls on October 20. Farhan is all keyed up, “I am busy with the post production work now. I am doing the background score of Don now.”
The music of the film will release on 26 August. The music of this film has been rendered by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, who had alsocomposed music for his previous two films- Dil Chahta Hai and Lakshya. Shah Rukh has lent his vocal chords for a portion of the song Khaike Pan Banaraswala. “They have created a new sound retaining the retro element which goes back to the 70’s era.
We have retained 3 songs from the original Don, but have completely reorchestrated them – Yeah Mera Dil and Khaike Pan Banaraswala and Main Hoon Don. Those two songs are a very intrinsic part of the love and memory that I have for the film which was one of the reasons for the remake,” he says.
So is Shah Rukh a don in the true sense? “Shah Rukh truly is a ‘don’ in my eyes. He is so good in the movie, because he is so correct off screen. I don’t think anybody could have done this part like he has. It is really an extension in terms of the flair that he has in his personal life. I am very happy with the film and with Shah Rukh’s performance. I think he has done a fantastic job,” he says hoping that the film does a fair business.
