Mumbai: Creating history in Indian cinema, for being the first actor who would also write and direct his debut film, 24-year old Mashhoor Amrohi, grandson of the legendary Kamaal Amrohi, launched his maiden venture Hum Laakh Chhupayein Pyaar… Magar under the erstwhile Kaamal Amrohi Pictures banner, this week.

Prominent film personalities namely David Dhawan, Salman Khan, O.P. Dutta, Bindiya and J.P.Dutta, Shashilal Nair, Zeenat Aman, Sonali and Roop Kumar Rathod, Mitu and Vinay Tiwari, Mohit Suri, Alvira and Atul Agnihotri and Sufi master Gul Sahab dropped in on the sets to greet the debutant and shower their blessings.

Mashhoor aspires to pick up from the rich legacy of his grandfather. “With the completion of the first schedule, the film will stand 20 per cent complete. Then we will fly to London for further shooting by mid-July, the budget of the film is not yet established,” adds Mashhoor.

Featuring debutante Vishakha Singh as the female lead opposite Mashhoor, the film stars Govinda, Jackie Shroff, Kiran Kumar, Mukesh Rishi, A.K.Hangal , Mac Mohan, Shehzad Khan and Suvedh Lohia in key roles.

While Mashhoor has written the story and screenplay, the film is being produced by his father Tajdar Amrohi. Other credits include cinematography by Aamir Lal, choreography by Remo and action by Mahindra Verma. Music for the film has been provided by Siddharth Suhas along with debutant composer Abuzar.
