Mumbai: The Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish is definitely on the way to re-write box office history, drawing in the biggest advance opening in the history of Indian cinema. Nearly 59 prints have been distributed in Mumbai and Thane, and more than 775 prints all over India. Movie theatres are already booked for shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in spite of ticket rates being hiked at the multiplexes. Krissh’s opening is bigger than Phir Hera Pheri, Fanaa or Rang De Basanti.
According to Manoj Desai, exhibitor of G-7) “The opening response is out of this world, the tickets are sold out till Monday. I did not see the movie so I can’t give you my views.” But when we asked some audiences in G-7 some complained on the length of the film, some said there was no relief and few people were even seen leaving the hall during some of the songs. Devang Sampat of Cinemax liked the movie “Hats of to Rakesh Roshan for making a film like Krrish, let’s hope this film breaks all records. Tickets are sold out till Sunday.” When asked about the audience’s response, “90 per cent appreciated the film; it’s a mixture of family, kids and youth. I think the film will create records.”
