MUMBAI: Ram Gopal Varma’s film Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay, which is backed by Adlabs is facing trouble.

According to sources, G P Sippy’s grandson Sascha Sippy has sought an injunction from the High Court against the film since the Sippy’s hold the copyright of the original Sholay.

Sascha Sippy says, “We have the remake rights of Sholay and no one has bought the rights from us. We are taking the court’s help in this matter. Beyond this, I cannot comment at this stage.”

Varma, on the other hand, was not available for comment. Varma’s publicist and spokesperson too refrained from commenting on the issue. On the other hand, Praveen Nischol of Adlabs denied having any knowledge of the development.
