MUMBAI: A two member bench of the Delhi Supreme Court comprising Justice S.H. Kapadia and Justice R.V. Raveendran, has cleared the decks for the release of Wounded.

Krishna Mishra the producer-director says, “Wounded is my first film and is based on the real life story of bandit queen Seema Parihar. Seema herself stars in the role of dacoit in the film. It had won critics award at the Leicester Film Festival in the UK this year. The Censor Board had problems with the film; but finally issued an ‘A’ certificate without any cuts. Rishikesh K. Sharma had then filed a petition saying that the he had scripted the film earlier and had the same subject. The case was in High Court for six months and was passed in our favour. The case was then in Supreme Court. In its order dated 13.11.2006, the Supreme Court dismissed the Special Leave Petition (Civil) Nos. 18057 / 2006.”

Mishra further adds, “Wounded is made under the banner of Shree Hari Om Films and is set for 26 January release next year. I am already negotiating with distributors and have already sold West Bengal to Mr Joshi of N.R. Enterprises. After the release of this film, I will plan my next film.”
