MUMBAI: The Munich International short film festival will be held from 14 to 20 June, prior to the main Filmfest Munich.

The festival showcases the world’s best contemporary short films each night at the Mathaeser, says a release.

The Munich International, which will take place in 2007 for the second time, will screen all films in its international competition with English dialogue or English subtitles. Each film will be screened twice. All films are Bavarian premieres, the release adds. There are also additional screenings, such as the winning films of the German Short Film Award.

The Munich International is hosted by the Munich Filmwerkstatt and CommClub Munich in cooperation with the Mathaeser. It is presented by Abendzeitung Munich and supported by Interkep, Caninenberg+Schouten and P+S Technik among others, the release adds.
