MUMBAI: Multiplex chain PVR Ltd has promoted the company’s executive director Sanjeev Kumar Bijli to the post of joint managing director.
The promotion is with effect from 6 June, 2007. Kumar, who is PVR managing director Ajay Bijli’s brother, was until now was looking after film acquisition and programming at PVR.
He completed his education from the UK and received professional training at Village Entertainment Centres (Australia) in operations and development. Instrumental in building a team of motivated professionals, Kumar has been responsible for putting the company on the path of growth.
PVR was set up by Bijli as a joint venture with Village Roadshow Ltd of Australia. He pioneered the multiplex concept in India with the launch of PVR Anupam.
