MUMBAI: BAG Films & Media, which has produced shows like Kumkum, Siddhanth, Rihhaee, Poll Khol, RedAlert, Sansani, Kaun Hai and Khul Ja Sim Sim for Indian television channels, has now penetrated into the overseas markets with its first international TV show for ARY Digital, Dubai.
The show titled as Yeh Vaada Raha has begun its telecast on 25 June in Pakistan, UAE, US and UK.
Yeh Vaada Raha is the story of two lovers Sadia and Salman who are torn apart by hatred. A hatred shared by their fathers and a hatred which has kept two families separate for years together. According to the story, Sadia is an NGO activist and daughter of a leading businessman Zafar Hassan Qidwai while Salman is the son of leading politician Ehsaan Ali.
Pakistani actress Maria Wasti plays the role of the Sadia while Salman is being played by Raj Verma. Other actors in the supporting roles are veteran film / TV actor Pankaj Dheer, Shahbaz Khan and Nishigandha Wad and Imran Abbas from Pakistan.
BAG Films & Media managing director Anurradha Prasad said, “It has always been our vision to establish ourselves in the international arena, this would be the first step towards achieving the goal.
