Earlier there were rumours stating that Queen actress Kangana Ranaut was set to play Aamir Khan‘s daughter in biopic film Dangal. But Kangana put an end to the rumours by revealing that she was never offered the role, let alone signing the film. In a recent interview, Kangana revealed that she was amused by the rumours but she was never offered the role. “Dangal was never offered to me. I’d love to work with Mr Khan sometime soon, but we aren’t working on Dangal together,” said the 27-year-old actress.
Now recent rumours suggest that it’s not Kangana, but Baby actress Tapsee Pannu who has been signed to play Aamir Khan‘s daughter, Geeta Phogat in Nitesh Tiwari‘s upcoming film Dangal. The actress impressed audiences with her mind-blowing performance in Akshay Kumar‘s recent film Baby. If the rumours are anywhere to be true, this film could be a game changer for the actress.
Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari‘s Dangal is a biopic on wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, the father of Indian women wrestlers Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat. The film encourages necessity for sports and one’s free will. It aims on educating parents to let their child follow his or her dream.
Dangal is set to hit the silver screen in 2016.
