Nokia launches Nokia 5700 XpressMusic

MUMBAI: Nokia has launched the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic, tuned specifically for music enthusiasts.


The Nokia 5700 XpressMusic features a twist design that switches between four modes – music player, two Megapixel camera, video call and smartphone. Combining the benefits of a music-oriented, multipurpose device, the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic is the music-first mobile device, augmented by a dedicated audio chip for enhanced music performance.


“The Nokia 5700 XpressMusic adds a new twist to the mobile music experience with compatibility for tracks purchased from many Internet music stores. In addition the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic features a dedicated audio chip for improved music performance which consumers can further enhance by selecting from an ever increasing line of compatible audio enhancements,” says Nokia India director marketing Devinder Kishore.


Loading songs onto the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic is fast and easy as consumers can choose from a broad range of supported digital formats, including WMA, MP3, eAAC+ and MP4. When purchasing music online, shoppers again have the luxury of choice as they can select from a range of Internet music stores utilizing Windows Media Player Digital Rights management (WMDRM). Moreover, the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic lets consumers enjoy their tracks with Bluetooth stereo headphones, such as the BH-501 or with their own favorite headphones via 3.5mm headset jack adaptor.


The Nokia 5700 XpressMusic supports up to 1500 tracks on a two GB microSD card — up to 86 hours worth of music. In addition the built-in stereo loudspeakers let people share their tunes with friends turning the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic into an acoustic crowd-pleaser. An optimized music player supports album art, playlists, plus a five-band equalizer and audio visualisations.


The Nokia 5700 XpressMusic is based on S60 software, which enables users to personalise the phone with a wide variety of add-on applications, enhancements, content and services. There are many useful and fun applications available to further extend the device functionality, ranging from dictionaries to mapping services and podcasting applications. Several programs can run simultaneously on a S60 handset enabling consumers to surf their favourite websites while listening to the music of their choice. To make the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic reflect its owner’s style, themes, video ringtones and wallpapers can be changed according to personal preferences.
