Recently at an award show in Mumbai, Shahid was asked how far were the rumours true and if he really was engaged to Mira Rajput, to which the actor said that the rumours are true but he isn’t engaged to her yet.

“No, I am not engaged but what you are reading is kind of true as marriage is on the cards at the end of the year,” Shahid confirmed.
Haider actor Shahid was asked to give some details about the beautiful soon-to-be-bride, Mira Rajput and his relationship and how it all began, the actor refrained from giving any insights and politely asked the media to respect his privacy. Shahid said, “I’ll refrain from getting into details. I hope you respect that. I’m here today and I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media.”
Shahid went further on and said that he is really happy to start a new chapter in his life soon this year. “I’m just a normal guy, she’s just a normal girl and we should treat it like that. I’m very happy,” Shahid said.
