MUMBAI: Mazhar Kamran, also the cinematographer of hits like Satya, Kaun, Jhankar Beats and Masti, has recently wrapped the shooting and dubbing of his first directorial film Mohan Das.

The film’s post-production and background score composition is in swing now, which is being done by Narayan Parshuram of Karadi Tales fame.

Mohan Das stars Sonali Kulkarni, Nakul Vaid, Sushant Singh, Sharbani Mukherjee, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Uttam Haldar, Aditya Shrivastav, Akhilendra Mishra and Govind Namdeo. Produced by Abha Sonakia, under the banner of Vertika Films Pvt Ltd., the film is not about Mahatma Gandhi but it is about a man who is lost in his own country. The film, which is a black comedy, deals with problems of common man and treats it with open satire.

The screenplay is by Uday Prakash, music is by Vivek Priyadarshan and lyrics by VK Sonakia and Yash Malviya.
