MUMBAI: Loren Schwartz has been promoted to senior vice president, Creative Advertising, Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group. The announcement was announced by Creative Advertising, President, Josh Goldstine to whom Schwartz will continue to report.
In his new role, Schwartz will continue to oversee the creation of trailers, posters, television ads, and other marketing materials that support the theatrical release of films from Columbia Pictures.
Goldstine said, “Loren has been a key member of the creative advertising team at Sony for more than 10 years and he has developed a number of memorable campaigns for the studio, including our most recent hit Superbad.”
Schwartz most recently served as vice president, Creative Advertising, a position he has held since 2004; he previously served as manager and director in the department.
During his tenure with the studio, he oversaw the campaigns for such films as Big Daddy, 50 First Dates, White Chicks, The Pink Panther, Benchwarmers, Little Man, and, most recently, Superbad. He is currently creating the materials to support Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, The Pink Panther 2, Pineapple Express, and I Know What Boys Like.
