MUMBAI: Lionsgate Music has signed a three-year exclusive worldwide publishing administration deal with composer David Vanacore, television’s King of Reality, it was announced by Lionsgate Music president Jay Faires. Lionsgate Music is an affiliate of Lionsgate, the leading independent filmed entertainment studio.
Under the agreement, Lionsgate’s music company will administer all of Vanacore’s premium catalogue, which encompasses thousands of cues from TV’s most prominent reality shows, including numerous seasons of Mark Burnett’s Survivor, Fox hits Big Brother and Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, and more than 35 other TV productions from nearly every major broadcast and cable network in the country. Vanacore has also penned the music for Lionsgate’s most recent entry into worldwide syndication, Debmar-Mercury and Hasbro’s Trivial Pursuit.

Vanacore is the recipient of numerous accolades, including seven BMI Film and TV awards and eight ASCAP Film and TV Music Awards for Most Performed Theme, Most Performed Underscore, and Top TV Series for The Apprentice (NBC), Survivor (CBS), and Joe Millionaire (FOX). His overwhelming success continues to serve as a major catalyst in the creation of a new musical genre specifically produced for reality television. Other notable credits include Don’t Forget the Lyrics (ABC), The Contender (NBC) and Martha Stewart Apprentice (NBC), among many others.
