Farhan Akhtar Finally Speaks Up On Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees Clash With Salman Khan's Sultan

Ever since the teaser of Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Raees’ and the promotional teaser poster of Salman Khan‘s ‘Sultan’ were released, the both the fandoms are extremely excited for the movie. Both the movies are slated to release next year on Eid. Sultan is produced by Yash Rj Films whereas ‘Raees’ is produced by Excel Entertainment. Both the production houses will not be moving the dates and hence, the clash is going to happen.

‘Raees’ producer Farhan Akhtar said in an interview that the clash of the movies is evitable. He doesn’t see a reason to move the release date. He added that clash of two big films have happened in the past and have done well at the box office. It depends on the audience what movie they’d like to watch. He added that when a filmmaker makes a film and wants to release on a certain date, then they have to right to do it. He is optimistic about the fact that both the movies will do well. He said that if both movies turn out well, then it wouldn’t be a problem at the box office. Lastly, he added that when you make a good film, it will work no matter what movie it is clashing with.

While this will be the biggest clash of 2016, the fans are looking forward to the box office battle between India’s biggest stars. Salman and Shah Rukh who had a bitter fallout in 2008 at a party, are back to being friends. They have been very supportive of each other. Salman had also tweeted about ‘Raees’ teaser.

‘Raees’ teaser was released few months ago while we eagerly wait for the teaser ‘Sultan’. SRK will be seen playing a Gujarati Muslim bootlegger in ‘Raees’ while Salman will be seen playing a Haryanvi wrestler in ‘Sultan’. The two films are slated to clash on Eid next year. It is going to very interesting to see which movie does better.
