Mumbai: Mobile entertainment company ROK Entertainment Group has continued its aggressive expansion worldwide through three major product deployments.
Firstly, its Finland-based mobile services development company Geniem has signed an exclusive mobile content delivery agreement with Rotana, the producer and distributor of Arabic music and films. Geniem will build customised on-device portals (ODP’s) for Rotana’s mobile partners to be deployed across the Middle East, enabling users to seamlessly access its diverse content portfolio from their mobile phones.
Fun Little Movies (FLM), the California-based mobile content-creation subsidiary of ROK, has teamed up with award-winning comedy collective Monkey With A Shotgun to deliver original comedy content, advertising-funded and available to download and watch for free on iPhones and on Sprint and Verizon Wireless video services across the US.
Furthermore, ROK’s push email service for mobile phones, YuuROK, has added a further 50,000 users worldwide in the last two weeks. YuuROK, the mass-market mobile email service created by ROK, is advertising-supported, compatible with all WAP-enabled handsets and is free to use. YuuROK is a Joint Venture with YuuZoo, the mobile media company.
ROK group CEO Laurence Alexander said, "Each of these agreements are milestone achievements and each reflects our strategy of deploying our suite of revenue-generating mobile services, applications and technologies as fast as possible, worldwide, through alliances, partnerships and licensing agreements – and we will continue to do so going forward."
