MUMBAI: While Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone are grabbing headlines for their premiere rounds and campaigning for Chandni Chowk to China, there is one man who has quietly made his debut in the film. And that man is none other than Ramesh Sippy.
The renowned film maker has lent his voice to the narrative of the film. Says Sippy, "Although I am the producer of the film, it was the director, Nikhil Advani who requested me to do the voice over. Unfortunately, I know I have a good voice and I did it with a lot of eagerness." The film maker required four to five hours in Mumbai’s Sound City studio to record his lines. The compliments have been pouring in for the man who directed Sholay.
And long after the end credits roll for Chandni Chowk to China, the deep baritone of Sippy reverberates in your mind as he guides you through the film.
