MUMBAI: Dino Morea is not just content being an actor. After opening branches of his eatery Crepe Station in Mumbai, and producing several ad films, Morea is now looking at producing films.
The actor has zeroed in on a play that was running in London called, Something About Simmy. Talking about his project to Businessofcinema.com, Morea said, "My film will be an adaptation of that play. I do not have a title for my film, but I can say that it is a romantic comedy. And it will be directed by Pravesh Kumar, who is also writing the film."
Morea is also currently looking for a suitable cast for his film. With the multiplex culture booming in India, Morea is aware that it is no longer a star he needs to sell his film to the distributors, but a good ensemble cast who will take the film to a new level.
Morea explained, "I want actors who have not been cast before. Trying to get a young cast and get their dates is not an easy task and this is after I am a part of the industry. This is because everyone is trying to make a different film and actors are willing to experiment. These liberties are great for today’s actors.
Morea too is trying out different things. His next release will be Sanjay Gupta Productions’ Acid Factory that is being directed by Suparn Verma. Morea, who is trying out an all new look is hoping that the film, which is a thriller will give his career a good boost. Come September, the audience can decide that, when Acid Factory releases.
