MUMBAI: Rich Peluso has joined Sony Pictures Home Entertainment as vice president of Affirm Films, SPHE’s faith label, which played a key role in helping to bring films like Fireproof and Facing the Giants to wide audiences.
Peluso will report to SPHE executive vice president Robert Rubin.
Based in Franklin, Peluso most recently worked as a consultant to SPHE. Peluso had previously held posts that focus on the faith and entertainment arenas, including of The Safe Side Company president and EMI Christian Music Group Distribution president, a division of EMI Music North America.
In his new role, Peluso will work alongside Family Entertainment vice president Steve Okin, and will be responsible for acquiring, developing, and marketing films that entertain and inspire families and people of faith. In addition to identifying new opportunities for Affirm Films, Peluso will also explore ways to use SPHE’s extensive catalog to introduce new audiences to quality and uplifting entertainment.
