MUMBAI: Paramount Pictures’ G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra has grossed a whopping $100.5 million at the worldwide box office in its opening weekend.

In the US, the movie collected $56.2 million with the remaining $44.3 million coming in from the overseas.

G.I. Joe stars Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Marlon Wayans and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Interestingly, Paramount Pictures had decided not to allow critics to see the film before its general release due to the poor reviews that its previous film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen received.
