Toy Story 3 dominates box office with $226 million

MUMBAI: Disney – Pixar’s latest animation film Toy Story 3 has stayed put at the box office a week after its release. The movie has done gross revenues of approximately $226.55 million so far at the box office. It’s weekend revenues stand at $59 million.

On the other hand, the second spot this week has been taken up by Sony’s Grown Ups, which collected $41 million over the weekend, followed by 20th Century Fox’s Knight and Day with revenues of $20.5 million.

The Jackie Chan – Jaden Smith starrer The Karate Kid is down to fourth spot this week with total revenues of $135.64 million. The movie’s latest weekend collections were $15.4 million.

At fifth spot was The A-Team with $6 million collections over the weekend. The movie has so far done a business of $62.84 million.

Universal’s Get Him To The Greek was at sixth spot with $3 million this weekend and has so far has seen collections of $54.48 million at the box office. This was followed by DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek Forever After with $2.87 million (total $229 million).

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (weekend $2.8 million; total $ 86.17 million), Killers (weekend $2 million; total $44 million) and Jonah’s Hex (weekend $1.6 million; total $9.1 million) were at the eighth, ninth and tenth spot respectively at the box office this week.
