MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone will be starring opposite Rajinikanth in Raana.

 Raana is produced by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth and directed by KS Ravikumar. The film is a period film and Rajnikanth will be seen in a triple role.


The pre-production work on the film is going on and the shoot will start by March. The soundtrack of the film will be given by A.R. Rahman  and the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu in 2012.
