MUMBAI: Director Rajkumar Hirani’s ad films division – Canvas Films – has produced the first IPL ad of this season, called Bharat Bandh.
The ad has been directed by Quickgun Murugun director Shashank Ghosh. and shows the funny conversation between the politicians across the country over who initiated the Bharat Bandh for 51 days. The ad recently went on air.
Canvas Films head – ad division Sanjeev Kishinchandani said, "The concept of the ad is that there is confusion between politicians across the country that who has announced the 51 days Bharat Bandh and every one denies it when they finally realise that Bharat will be bandh for 51 days automatically due to IPL, that’s the fever of IPL in India. The ad has been directed by Shashank Ghosh, director of Quickgun Murugun, who, I think was a perfect choice to direct the ad with a dash of humor."
Canvas Films has earlier done work with concepts like Safed Tikka with Amitabh Bachchan and an ad with Kareena Kapoor on the 3 Idiots’ All Izz Well concept.
