MUMBAI: Struggling amidst the competition provided by the numerous Hindi Entertainment Channels, Turner Broadcasting today finally announced their decision to shut down ‘Imagine TV’.
The reason is clear, the channel is lagging behind in the TRP race. "Imagine TV has not performed and grown as per expectations. Overall the channel was unable to achieve the ratings consistency needed to sustain the business and support continued investment," said the press statement.
All the shows currently being screened on Imagine TV, will breathe their last today. From tomorrow the channel will air re-runs. Turner currently also operates other media brands in India like HBO, CNN, Cartoon Network, POGO, WB, TCM and Boomerang.
