MUMBAI: ‘Cocktail’ actress Diana Penty’s on a roll. From receiving positive reviews for her take on ‘Meera’: the classic Indian beauty in the aforementioned film, to signing many product endorsement deals, the lovely lady has sure come a long way.

Diana already endorses a range of hair-care products, a plum assignment she landed due to her long, lusciously lovely locks. And now she’s gone and landed on the cover of ‘Women’s Health Magazine: The New Year Double Issue’. Penty stuck to her comfort zone; and managed to look like the quintessential “girl next door”: choosing to dress in a pair of light pink skinnies and a black-and-white printed shirt, with a beige cardigan on top. Not the best of looks for a film star, but we’ll let that slide.

Diana Penty spoke about her fitness and health fundas at the magazine launch, as was expected of her. The 27 year-old was a natural fit to star on the magazine cover, as she’s been doing so for most of her modeling career. And the transition from modeling to acting has been quite easy for the beautiful lady, going by the rave reviews she received post her debut in ‘Cocktail’, opposite Saif Ali Khan.

Though ‘Cocktail’ belonged to Deepika, for her portrayal of spoilt- rich- angst ridden ‘Veonica’, Penty held her own and was noticed as much for her acting prowess as for her delicate beauty and extremely good looks. Says noted author Shobha De of Penty: “Diana Penty’s debut rates amongst the best in recent times. Not only is the girl absolutely lovely but she can act! Nobody expects actual acting prowess from our lissome models – well, here’s one with a terrific future.”

With such accolades coming her way, we can only hope Diana lives up to the high expectations of her in the future. And we’re sure the beautiful model-turned-actress will not disappoint.
