MUMBAI: The 60th Cannes Film Festival went underway yesterday (16 May, 2007) and actors from across the globe made their presence felt. From the Indian film industry, Abhishekh and Aishwarya Bachchan along with Preity Zinta were present on the first day of the festival.
Aishwarya, who has now been a regular at the festival, was there as part of L’Oreal’s team of models. The actor duo will attend the screening of Mani Ratnam’s Guru, which will be screened in the Tous les Cinemas du Monde.
The other Indian actors scheduled to be present are Amitabh Bachchan, who will be there to promote his upcoming film Cheeni Kum and John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, who will be promoting their next film Goal.
